Hello..!!
My name is Darryl Newsham.
I have been learning level design in (Unreal engine 4) for about 3 years now.
I have also gained some skills using and creating Landscapes with
World Machine.
I also have basic Blender modelling skills such as Basic props.
I have relevant photoshop skills and plan to continue improving on these and above listed skills.

I am a big fan of the outdoors and natural style environments but I am happy to have a go at anything if the right assets are available.

Volunteer Mapper Americas Army - Proving Grounds
Volunteer level designer / mapper using UE3/UDK
Made custom levels/ maps for A Steam game called America's Army Proving Grounds which is a FREE to play game released by the US ARMY. My maps can be seen under my Workshop Items. Private Projects and Self Learning Level Design in Unreal Engine 4
Self Learnt Level Design from online Tutorials and online course sites such as Udemy.com
Also a small amount of study at (Tafe-SA) in an Advanced diploma in Game arts. Unfortunately other commitments hindered me from completing the course. But some skills and advice were definitely taken on board.
I Have gained Basic Self learnt & some Udemy course skills using 3D modeling software Blender.
Basic-intermediate self taught skills making realistic Terrains / Landscape Height maps inside World Machine. Relevant Photoshop skills. I have a fair knowledge of UE4 Procedural Foliage tool and general Level design skills inside UE4 such as use of Spline Tools, Sculpting tools and Texture painting on landscapes and meshes. Using World machine Output maps for Grass / Foliage & Texture Layers.
Basic optimizing knowledge such as Culling of foliage and use of LODS/Billboards. Shadow / lighting tweaking etc. But I'm still Learning / searching for more optimizing tricks.
